Default SKILL IDEA: Ranger - Spirit to expire minions and spirits faster

Ive not seen a skill which does this anywhere on guildwiki.

I suggest they add a skill to cause spirits and minions, cast by the enemy to expire faster. Something like;

"Spirits and minions summoned by enemies, will expire 10-50% sooner. This spirit will die after 30-200 seconds."

I suggest this because when playing pvp challenges like FA in factions, MMs add a huge advantage to the team with one.

Ideas?

Due to a few suggestions, such as minions can be healed, im re-wording it...

"Summoned spirits and minions within range expire #% sooner, and minions within range cannot be healed. This spirit will die after #seconds".

Ranger spirits only add things to everybody. Not just the enemy. So it should also make your own spirits and minions expire faster.

Plus, Spirits already got enough hate. Lay off them.

Very interesting.. although seems overpowered maybe max 25%.. MF and spritway would be hard to run...good idea..

I dont hate spirits or minions. Thats why Im suggesting the skill, because their extremely usefull....

..but they can overpower a team in instances like FA.

Its not unfair to have a way to fight back against an MM or spirit spammer is it?

How is that skill any different to any other high dmg one? It just happens to recharge instantly when it hits a spirit.

Its like an ele using echo and then searing flames repeatadly.

Plus its not a ranger skill. Im suggesting a pure ranger skill, to give an advantage over rits AND necros when they summon spirits AND minions.

As far as im aware they dont possess a skill against rits and necros.

Its an interesting idea! It might somewhat tone down the increasingly number of Rits in RA. Because I am a Ranger......the more ranger skill ideas the better (anything that makes my Ranger better in anyway, I'm all for)....so I'll /sign but like everyone else, I think it may need a revamp so I'll erase the /sign and do a /halfsign

The only problem is, that minions don't expire. Their degen caps, and then they can be kept up indefinitely. Damage is what kills minions.

Just like always, instead of asking for some magical solution, remember that there are already skills that obliterate MM.

There is already not one, but several skills which will not only stop the MM, but also deal damage. Some of those are infinitely spammable.

As for ritualists: Spiritual Pain. It doesn't get any better than that.

You have all the tools already, just use them.

And no, these aren't ranger specific. Rangers get traps to deal with minions and spirits, along with some skills to complement that. Not every class has everything, that's the whole point.

Yeah...I sort of misread the original post. For some reason I though the OP was referring to a spirit instead of a skill or some type of hex spellthat would cause minions or summoned spirits to expire faster. At least that is what I got when it was mentioned that "spirit dies after xx-xx seconds". Usually when I think of spirits I think of Rits and rangers. Being a ranger and not a rit......you can see which one I lean towards first. It still would look good with all the other skills I have.

Anyways, minions aren't exactly the most intelligent things and you can easily take them out. You can always go Verata's Aura or Verata's Gaze and make them your own or use something like Spiritual Pain/Unnatural Signet :-)
